Rebecca Rich Kissel opened her first studio in West Monroe, Louisiana, in 1984, having just completed 3 years of graduate level study in fine art at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She has been a professional portrait painter ever since, accomplishing well over 200 pastel and oil painting portraits. Since 1988, she has lived and worked in Columbus, Georgia. Most of her commissions are family portraiture. Mrs. Kissel’s portraits are done from a combination of photo sittings and observation of the subject, and all are drawn by hand. It takes about a month to complete a portrait once it is begun. Mrs. Kissel has retired from portrait painting, and is not accepting new clients. Mrs. Kissel can be contacted at 706-464-2269 or at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.

"Dreaming of Prague," Pastel on paper
"After our 2016 trip to Prague, I was overwhelmed by the beautiful city, it's architecture, parks, museums, churches, bridges, little restaurants, and particularly it's native son, artist Alfonse Mucha. His depiction of beautiful women with gorgeous backgrounds inspired me to paint my own humble rendition of my love for the city. I encourage everyone to study and enjoy Mucha's work in architecture, painting, and even furniture and jewelry design." Rebecca Kissel
