Biography

Gloria Sampson started drawing as a child growing up in Montana.  She and her family moved to Alaska when she was a teenager, and there her interest in art continued.  It became the focal point of her life and source of her livelihood for many years as a fine artist and interior designer in the San Francisco Bay Area after she graduated with a BFA from the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland.
She also took postgraduate classes at The University of California at Berkeley, and for many years was a student of George Post, one of California's premier watercolor artists and teachers.
Her work has been included in museum exhibits in California, Washington state, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida, as well as in a gallery in New York City.  Her paintings have been purchased by numerous corporations, including the Bradley Company, the Columbus Museum, Dean Day Smith, Coca Cola, Knight Ridder Newspapers, Mead Paper Company, and Pratt and Whitney.

Gloria Sampson
Mrs. Sampson currently lives and works in Columbus, Georgia. She frequently lectures to various clubs and organizations about her books and her other art work.  She is currently the president of the Columbus Artists' Guild, as well as a member of the Southern Rivers Guild.

Through the years she has compiled a series of 35 sketchbooks and art journals from her daily life and travels that she and her husband have experienced throughout the world.
